WW1 St.John Ambulance 1914 -1919 silver VAD war service badge

A very scarce original 'St.John Ambulance V.A.D War Service 1914-1919 silver and enamel lapel badge' issued in 1920; circular example bearing title surround, the centre displaying a plain 'Maltese Cross', the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1920 and maker's details "WD&S" (W.M.Dowler & Sons). Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, enamel perfect.
