A good original post 1886 Victorian 'Primrose League Dame's Full Dress gilt badge', the reverse with maker's details "T&JB" (T&J Bragg Birmingham) and registered, design and patent number "Rd 41562" (1886). Very good mint condition, original plain primrose colour silk ribbon and suspension bar with single pin fitting. Complete with original case with corresponding maker's details to the inside lid, this with minor wear.
Overall Height of Badge 75mm.

The motto of the League became Imperium et Libertas", this taken from the famous speech delivered by Benjamin Disraeli the Earl of Beaconsfield in 1879.
