WW1 Royal Naval Transport Service officers bullion cap badge

A scarce First World War period 'Royal Naval Transport Service Officer cap badge', gilt foulded anchor set on black velvet ground within a blue silk ribbed circlet "RN TRANSPORT" gold bullion wreath surround surmounted by a padded red velvet King's Crown, the reverse with waxed black hessian lining and complete with woollen cap band. Good condition, bullion dulled and with traces of verdigris around anchor and spots to wreath.
Height approx 75mm.
