Boys Brigade 1886 to 1926 officers pre union cap badge on armband

A unconventional combination of a scarce pre-1927 officer's cap badge and black felt armband, with evidence of these two items having been together for a very long time; die-cast silver plated badge attached via loops, to a red felt shield, in turn sewn to a period armband with steel hook and eye fastening, the reverse with black cotton lining. Very good condition, retaining original two loop fittings and split pin fixing.
