British World Airlines pilots wing uniform badge circa 1993 to 2001

A scarce original short-lived 'British World Airlines pilot's wing badge'; gold wire embroidered wings, bearing padded red ribbed rope edge central device with leaping lion in silver bullion; set on padded black felt backing, the reverse retaining original black cotton lining. Very good used condition, bullion remains bright.

'British World Airlines' were formed in 1993 from the former 'British Air Ferries' Airline, they were based at Southend Airport, Essex. They went into receivership in 2001.
