A scarce 'National League of Airmen 1935 badge' in the form of a silver plated aeroplane inlaid with dark blue enamel, the reverse with maker's details "Roden London". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, no stress or damage to the enamel, an excellent example.
Wingspan 28mm.
Length 20mm.

Accompanying this badge is a rare applicant receipt for the 2/6 paid to join the league.
Printed on one side:
"The Sunday Dispatch Official Organ of the National League of Airman"
and on the other:
"Hand this portion to the Applicant. No. Z874 National League of Airman
Received from Dr A.T.Woolevaul (Ink unclear) the sum of £ :2 : 6 being a subscription of 2/6 for 1935-36 as an Associate Member of the above League. Donation £ : : Date 23rd June 1935 Signed C Thursley. (Ink Signature)
