City of Hull Special Constabulary 1914 Service Star Police Sleeve Badge

A good scarce die-stamped five pointed silver star police sleeve badge bearing “SC” monogram to centre within a circlet inscribed “City of Hull 1914”. Very good condition, retaining original two loop fittings and split pin.
Height 25mm.

Awarded early 1918 by the Commissioner for wear on the forearm for Specials who attested before 31st December 1914 and had served continuously since then. Discontinued in the 1920’s.
