RMS Homeric White Star shipping line powder compact circa 1930

A rare souvenir from the 'White Star Line' cruise ship 'RMS Homeric', in the form of a ladies powder compact, the lid beautifully decorated with detailed transfer of the 'Ocean liner' superimpose over butterfly wings, very typical design of the 1920's and 30's and set into a chromium plated case, the reverse with engine turned decoration. Very good condition, colour remains bright, sound hinge and catch, complete with original polished steel mirror (now stained), used face powder and powder puff.
Size 48mm. square.

'RMS Homeric' served with the 'White Star Line' from 1922 to 1935 after which she was scrapped.
