WW2 Polish Air Force pilots breast badge in original Spink case
A scarce Second World War period full sized 'Polish Air Force pilots breast badge' in original case of issue, die-cast oxidised silver swooping eagle, holding a laurel wreath within its beak, the reverse with maker's details in relief "J.R.Gaunt & Son Ltd. London." Very good condition, complete with hook, suspension chains and single screw post fitting with nut and housed in its blue velvet lined fitted case with retailer's details to the inside lid, George VI Royal Arms and text "To H.M. The King" "Spink & Son Ltd. 5, 6 & 7, King Street, ST. James's, London, S.W.1." "Est 1772".
