British Red Cross Society Medical Officer technical badge named to a Doctor

A very scarce original circa 1940's period medal issue to a Doctor working for the 'British Red Cross Society' Technical Branch' bearing 'Medical Officer' bar, the reverse inscribed '1125 Dr. B.Y.H. Christmas'. Very good condition, complete with original silk ribbon, title bar and gilt buckle suspension with pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, an excellent example.
Overall Length 87mm.

Attributed to Dr. Benjamin Young Harper Christmas who was born in 1894. In 1939 he is listed as a physician & surgeon and was living in Bridgewater Somerset.
