RAF No 1 Battle of Britain Fighter Squadron Royal Air Force Badge c1940s

A scarce original period 'Royal Air Force No 1 Fighter Squadron' gilt and enamel badge, depicting a winged '1' and with Latin motto "In omnibus princeps" (First in all things). Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, an excellent example.
