A rare original Second World War Air Raid Precautions gilt and enamel 'Unilever House ARP badge' depicting a Palm Tree, the reverse with maker's details "Thomas Fattorini Ltd Regent St Birmingham". Very good condition, retaining original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel.
Height 28mm.

Unilever Company, Unilever House, London was founded in 1930 from the amalgamation of soapmaker 'Lever Brothers' and Dutch margarine producer 'Margarine Unie', they invented a new soap, using glycerin and palm oil a major raw material used for both margarines and soaps which was imported from British West Africa.
