WW2 RAF No124 Baroda Spitfire Fighter Squadron 1945 silver badge

A very rare Second World War 'RAF No 124 Squadron badge, depicting the outline of a 'Mongoose' with blue enamel title scroll below "Baroda Squadron", the reverse bearing Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1945 and maker's details "T.F" (Thomas Fattorini). Very good condition, original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel but with minor service wear.

Due to heavy construction and stout pin fitting it is possible following the practice of other Fighter Squadrons this badge was worn unofficially on the Service Dress or Battledress Uniform.
