WW2 Salute The Soldier Barnstaple fundraising badge

A scarce 'Salute The Soldier, Barnstaple Savings Area badge', sold to raise funds during Second World War, depicting a Tommy Soldier in full kit, ready for action. Very good condition, complete with pin fitting, colours bright, an excellent example.

The Salute The Soldier logo was designed by the artist Abram Games (1914-96) the great designer of the Festival of Britain logo and numerous well known war and travel posters etc.
