RAF No 249 Battle of Britain Squadron Royal Air Force Badge c1950s

A scarce original period RAF No 249 (Gold Coast) Squadron gilt and enamel badge, depicting an elephant and Latin motto "Pugnis et calcibus" (With fists and heels), the reverse with maker's details "H.W.Miller Ltd B'Ham.18". Very good condition, original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel.
