A scarce First World War period 'Queen Mary's Hospital For The East End' silver gilt and enamel nurses badge, the reverse bearing Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1917 and maker's details "W.A" (William Adams Ltd Birmingham). Very good condition, original silk ribbon and suspension bar with pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, an excellent example.
