Oldchurch Hospital Essex County Council & SRN nurse badge

An interesting end of the Second World War "Oldchurch Hospital, Romford Essex" scarce silver plate and enamel badge, awarded to "J. Pooley 1945", accompanied by a chrome General Nursing Council badge inscribed "J.D.Pooley S.R.N. 133870 7.6.45". Both in very good condition, original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel.

During the Second World War Oldchurch Hospital joined the "Emergency Medical Service" with a number of beds been allotted for air-raid casualties.
