A scarce attractive silver badge, the reverse bearing Birmingham hallmarks for 1926 and maker's details "JRG & S" (J.R.Gaunt & Sons"). Good condition, minor service wear to the enamel.

The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home was established 1919 in Roehampton by Gladys, Marchioness of Ripon and was funded through the generosity of the Charrington family, the aim was to give the casualties of the First World War who were permanently disabled specialist care. The home moved to Worthing in 1933.
