WW1 J.Holroyd & Co Milnrow & Rochdale on war service badge

A rare First World War "On His Majesty's Work" gilt badge with red, white and blue enamel, the reverse with maker's details "Thomas Fattorini Bolton" and "Reg 638232". Very good condition, original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel, gilt fresh.
Height 30mm.
John Holroyd & Co of Manchester was founded in 1864 and produced sewing and knitting machines later engineers of machine tools and industrial machinery, in 1896 they moved to Perseverance Mill, Milnrow Rochdale.
