In 1930 Amy Johnson became the first woman to fly solo from Croydon South of London to Darwin Australia, flying her "Jason" Gipsy Moth aeroplane.
These badges were sold as commemorative souvenirs, also given away with the song sheet, of the very popular tune at that time "Amy Wonderful Amy". They came in three colours, yellow being the scarcer and were made by Miller, 118 Branston St, B'ham. Remains in good condition, original pin fittings, no chips to the enamel, but with two stress lines between the A and M.
