Eagle Comic childrens club membership badge

A good original circa 1950's 1960's period pressed gilt brass 'Eagle comic club membership badge', the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Fattorini & Sons B'Ham Ltd'. Very good clean condition, complete with original pin fittings.
Height 36mm.

The Eagle weekly comic was founded by Marcus Morris, the first issue published 14th April 1950 to 26th April 1969 and relaunched again from 1982 to 1994. Its main character was Dan Dare, Pilot of the Future. Readers were invited to join the Eagle club by way of a subscription and a member would receive an Eagle badge, a rulebook, and a list of membership privileges.
