A scarce original 1954 full size unnamed as issued 'St. Andrew's Ambulance Corps 50th Anniversary medal'; silvered example the obverse depicting 'St. Andrew and his cross' within title surround, the reverse inscribed in relief "Corps Jubilee" "Review By H.R.H. Duke of Edinburgh Glasgow 13th Oct. 1954". Very good condition, complete with original silk ribbon.
'St Andrew's Ambulance Corps' was formed in 1904.
A pair of very colourful 'St. Andrews Ambulance Association' 'Class Certificate of Proficiency' issued to 'Joan Cowan' in the Second World War, the first dated '28th March 1941' for the 'Elementary Principles and Practice of Home Nursing and Hygiene, the second dated '27th June 1941' for a 'Course of Instruction in Ambulance Work' and examination in 'First Aid To The Injured'. Good condition, minor age wear and toning.
