A good original pre 1974 'Yorkshire Fire Brigade Friendly Society membership lapel badge'; chromium plated title surround inlaid with dark blue enamel, the centre depicting a firemans helmet superimposed on fire hose nozzle and axe, over shield bearing St George's Cross upon which are five lions Passant Guardant, from the Coat of Arms of York. Very good condition, complete with original buttonhole lapel fitting, no damage to the enamel.
