A scarce original circa 1948 to 1974 early pattern 'East Riding County Fire Brigade cap badge'; chromium plated Home Office star with applied red enamel title circlet; bearing county arms to centre. Very good condition, complete with original two loop fittings, no damage to the enamel, minimal wear.

In the 1974 reorganisation East Riding County Fire Brigade area split to form North Yorkshire Fire Service and Humberside Fire Service.

A scarce original pre-1930 'Firemen's Trade Union badge', gilded brass example, the centre with embossed fire helmet and axes on red enamel ground within blue enamel title surround "F.T.U"; the reverse with maker's details "C.Caville, Meyes Rd, Wood Green London.N". Good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, enamel with heavy service wear to title surround.
