A scarce original souvenir badge from the 'Festival of Britain 1951 national exhibition'; large ceramic example hand painted emblem designed by 'Abram Games' which depicts the profile of Britannia's head with crested helmet on the north point of a four-pointed compass rose, inlaid with enamel in the traditional red, white and blue colours of the Union Flag. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel and displayed on original card inscribed 'Made in England'. Height of badge 51mm. Height of display card 9omm.

A scarce original memento from the '1951 Festival of Britain National Exhibition'; chromium plated example in the form of a rocket style symbol named the "Skylon" the base bearing the emblem designed by 'Abram Games' which depicts the profile of Britannia's head with crested helmet on the north point of a four-pointed compass rose, with painted enamel decoration, the body set with patriotic red, white and blue glass stones. Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, complete with all stones. Height 46mm. The Skylon was a futuristic-looking large steel structure built in 1951 for the Festival of Britain, located by the River Thames in London it gave the illusion of floating above the ground. It was removed in 1952 when the rest of the exhibition was dismantled.

A scarce original souvenir from the 'Festival of Britain 1951 National Exhibition' comprising a pair gilt and enamel cufflinks' each bearing the emblem designed by 'Abram Games' which depicts the profile of Britannia's head with crested helmet on the north point of a four-pointed compass rose, inlaid with enamel in the traditional red, white and blue colours of the Union Flag; on their original card backing and contained in a Festival of Britain presentation card case. Very good mint condition, retaining original spring chains, enamel perfect. Together with a Festival of Britain tie clip, the reverse impressed with the Stratton mark.
