A scarce original circa 1939 -1945 wartime period 'National Emergency Services' silver plated title surround, surmounted by a King's Crown, red enamel 'NES' letters to solid centre with scroll below 'New South Wales' with a further dangling 'WARDEN' bar beneath, held by two suspension rings; the reverse with raised plaque bearing maker's details 'Angus & Coote Jewellers'. Very good mint condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, original silver plated finish remains crisp. Rare to find in this excellent condition. Height 47mm.

A scarce silver plated beret or forage cap badge with blue enamel scroll "W.A.T.C." and silhouette of Australia, the reverse with maker's details "Stokes". Good condition, original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, minor wear to silver plating. Width 45mm. A volunteer organisation formed on the 17th July 1939 by Mary Bell the Australian Aviator, to provide support to the Royal Australian Air Force during the Second World War.
