A scarce original post 1953 fine quality 'Royal National Lifeboat Institution supporters silver and marcasite brooch' in the form of the very familiar "R.N.L.I." red, white and blue enamel flag, the centre bearing an anchor surmounted by a Queen Elizabeth II crown, the edge set with thirty four marcasite stones and reverse impressed "925S". Complete with original pin fittings with safety roller catch in good working order, enamel perfect, all stones present, a lovely item in excellent condition.

Robertson with the RNLI 1988 Golly Lifeboatman special promotions badge


A good original 1988 issue Special Promotions 'Robertson's Golly Lifeboatman badge', the reverse with maker's details "Fattorini". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel. This example now without certificate and presentation case.
Height 36mm.

In 1988 Robertson's and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution together produced a limited edition of 25,000 Golly Lifeboatman badges, complete with certificate each with an individual number and plastic presentation case. From each brooch sold 15p was donated to the RNLI charity.
