A scarce original First World War period wartime women's farm workers 'Board of Agriculture Women's Branch badge'; gilded brass example in the form of a red enamel Crowned oval, the centre bearing a wheatsheaf in relief on green enamel ground; the reverse with maker's details "Fattorini & Sons Bradford". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings enamel perfect, gilt finish remains bright.

A scarce original First World War period 'Womens Land Army proficiency service armband; green felt example bearing red felt Crown with two additional six month service stripes and complete with horn button fastenings; the reverse with cream wool lining this now with foxing. Very good condition, colours remain bright, a few minor moth nips.

A scarce original First World War period 'Womens.Land.Army L.A.A.S service badge' given by the Land Army Agricultural Section; large circular green felt example, red embroidered crown within a padded cream felt circlet bearing the title in red embroidered thread, the reverse with black wax cotton hessian lining. Very good condition, colours remain bright, one small moth nip.
Diameter 55mm.

In the Women's Land Army L.A.A.S. Handbook it states that the 'L.A.A.S. Badge' is given after two months' approved service, and should be worn on the left lapel of the overall.

Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings (pin a period replacement), enamel intact, restoration or manufacturers flaw to left side of crown possibly done at the time, minor wear to gilt finish.

A scarce original First World War period 'Women's Land Army Good Service Ribbon award badge' presented by the Land Army Agricultural Section; woven green silk cotton shield, crown surmounting the letters 'WLA' 'GS' 'LAAS' in yellow and red embroidered thread, the reverse with black herringbone lining, safety pin attachment. Very good condition, colours remain bright, reverse with minor stitching fault to top, otherwise an excellent original example.
Height 65mm.

In the December 1918 issue of the 'Landswoman' it states that it is the new Good Service Ribbon which will be presented to any of you who have been six months in the Land Army, and who have kept up a high standard of work and conduct.
It is to be worn on the left arm, well above the armlet.
