A rare original pre 1908 period 'Humber Limited gilt and blue enamal badge', bearing the companies trademark logo, circa 1903 Granted Royal Warrant and address details 'Humber Ltd Beeston Notts Coventry'. Very good condition, complete wih original large round buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright. Height 47mm. 'Humber Ltd, Beeston' works closed in 1908 on the opening of the new works at Stoke.

'Ariel Motorcycle Company' Birmingham was bought by the Birmingham Small Arms Co 'BSA' in 1944.

A scarce original circa 1930's period 'New Hudson Motorcycles badge'; nickel plated example in the form of a pair of wings, the reverse impressed with early maker's details 'Birmingham Medal Co' (1922 to 1938). Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, black hand painted finish now with enamel loss. Width 35mm. New Hudson was a British motorcycle manufacturer founded in Birmingham in circa 1903. In 1939 'Birmingham Medal Co.' changed it name to 'Birmingham Medal and Badge Co'.

A very scarce original circa early part of the 20th century period 'Aldershot Motor Cycling Club lapel badge', silver plated circular title surround inlaid with blue enamel, resting in a winged wheel with Latin motto 'Celer et Prudens' (The quick and discreet), the centre depicting a Hind's Head issuing from a Mural Crown from the 'Aldershot Coat of Arms'; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Phillips Aldershot'. Good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, enamel and silvered finish with minor service wear. Height 30mm.

A scarce original circa pre 1922 period set of vividly coloured road maps issued by the 'Triumph Cycle Company Ltd Coventry' in eight sections (NUMBER 4 NOW ABSENT), each displaying the Triumph logo and proclaiming: 'WORLD FAMOUS MOTOR CYCLES, CARS & CYCLES, inscribed to the lower edge 'G.W.Bacon & Co Ltd London.' Good condition, colours remain bright, fold lines, minimal wear, contained in their original green leatherette case with early style open press stud fitting, in working order but stiff so requires careful handling, patina remain good, very minor stitching faults to inside of flap. Size of each map approx 313 x 254mm. List of contents: Section 1. South-East England. Section 2. South-West England. Section 3. Devon & Cornwall. Section 4. MISSING. Section 5. The Midland. Section 6. Wales & The Borders. Section 7. Lancashire & Yorkshire. Section 8. N. England & S. Scotland. 'G.W. Bacon & Co' printing and cartographic business was based in the Strand London in the late 19th century and early 20th century. He specialised in rail and road maps for cyclists and later for early motorists. George Washington Bacon died in 1922.

A good original circa pre-1928 motorcycle waterproof clothing promotional badge'; gilded brass circular example depicting an inverted triangle with the letter "S" within blue enamel title surround inscribed "Ye Ancient Order of Neverwets" and surmounted by a motorcycle and rider resting on a "Stormgard" scroll; the reverse impressed with early manufacturers details "Fattorini & Sons Bradford" (a 19081928 pattern). Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel with service wear with nick to left top scroll. Height 29mm. Stormgard was established shortly after the First World War. During the 1930s they would become one of the largest rainwear manufacturers greatly popular with the cyclist and the motorcycling community. In 1931 they began producing specialised clothing for the Air Ministry including flight suits.
