A scarce original '1937 Coronation souvenir celluloid tin button badge' displaying representation portrait of 'King George VI & Queen Elizabeth' inscribed ' LONG MAY THEY REIGN 1937 CORONATION' 'Made in Englang. Pro.Pat.20606/36', contained in retailers cardboard box Price 6d and inscribed 'LITBADGE Coronation Souvenir Illuminated Badge. Very good mint condition, complete with original pin fitting, colours remain bright (light reflection on photograph).
A scarce gilded brass souvenir medal, produced for the Coronation on May 12th 1937. The obverse with Crowned busts left and inscribed "H.M.King George VI and H.M.Queen Elizabeth". The reverse with maker's details "Thomas Fattorini Ltd B'Ham", the centre with embossed Crowned shield bearing the pre-1955 'Cheadle and Gatley Urban District Council Coat of Arms' which embodies the former villages of 'Cheadle Bulkeley', 'Cheadle Moseley' and the parish of Etchells-in-Stockport, within title surround. Very good condition, complete with red, white and blue silk ribbon with ornate suspension bar and original pin fittings.
A scarce original 'Co-operative Wholesale Society large celluloid tin button badge' featuring the 'CWS' registered trade mark logo with additional portrait of the newly crowned 'King George VI' inscribed "1937 Coronation" featured on a golden wheatsheaf bearing the motto "Labor and Wait" across the centre and depicting a farmer's shovel and sickle. Very good condition, retaining original pin fitting, colours remain bright (light reflection on photograph).
A scarce souvenir produced for the 'Coronation in 1937 of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth' in the form of a chromium plated wishbone, within the Crowned bust of the King and title scroll "Coronation 1937" inlaid with blue enamel. Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, an excellent clean example.
A scarce dark bronze boxed souvenir medal, produced for the Coronation in 1937. The obverse with Crowned busts left and title "King George VI & Queen Elizabeth". The reverse an allegorical figure of Britannia standing frontal, holding crown within a portico, River Thames, St Paul's Cathedral and battleship in the foreground, title "Crowned A.D. 1937". Very good condition, complete with original cardboard box with faint details to the lid of a Crown and "Coronation 1937", this now with scuffs, age wear and one flap to the lid partially detached.
