Greenwood'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings.
The 'International Society of Surgery' or the 'Societe Internationale de Chirurgie' is an international society of surgeons founded in 1902. In 1938 the venue had to be changed from Vienna to Brussels at the last moment because of the Germany's occupation of Austria.
A good original Second World War period celluloid matchbox cover, the front displaying a winged badge of the Royal Air Force the reverse inscribed with the Prime Minister Winston Churchill speech made in 1940 'NEVER IN THE FIELD OF HUMAN CONFLICT WAS SO MUCH OWED BY SO MANY TO SO FEW", along the spine is printed 'British Made'. Fair condition, foxing to all sides. Price reflects.

A good original oxidized silver plated nurse's buckle, bearing the coat of Arms of the 'University College Hospital' and motto `Ratione dirige cursum' (Govern your course by reason). Very good condition, minimal wear.
The 'Lusitania' was sunk by a German submarine on May 7th 1915. She had on board at the time 1,951 passengers and crew, of whom 1,198 perished. This is an exact replica of the medal which was designed in Germany and distributed to commemorate the sinking of the 'Lusitania'. This example was struck in England during the Great War and issued by the 'Lusitania Souvenir Medal Committee' 32, Duke Street, Manchester Square W.1. with all profits going to the 'St. Dunstan's Blinded Soldiers and Sailors Hostel'.
Very good condition, minor surface rust, Box of issue and Certificate now ABSENT.

A scarce original circa 1905 -1921 sheet brass LARGE pattern fleur-de-lys sleeve badge chosen by Colonel Baden Powell when he introduced scouting in the Army whilst out in South Africa commanding the 5th Dragoon Guards circa 1897. The first official mention traced is in Army Order of 1905. This example was worn by Army Scouts 1st Class. Good condition, complete with original loops fittings and split pin, some service wear.
Robert Baden-Powell served in the British Army from 1876 until 1910 when he retired from the army and formed 'The Scout Association' for boys.
The 'Baden Powell Trained Army Scouts' badge was abolished in 1921.
A scarce original pre-war circa 1930's period 'Arcadian Cycling Club Birmingham pin badge' in the form of a diamond shape, bearing red enamel title surround, cycle wheel symbol with 'NCU' initials below, to white enamel ground. Very good condition, complete with early style coiled steel pin fitting, no damage to the enamel. An excellent example.

A very scarce original late Victorian period 'Primrose League' gilt and enamel badge, in the form of a crowned highly enamelled convex disc, bearing a primrose bud and inscribed 'Juvenile Branch' with additional ribbon scroll below 'Secretary'. Good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel with minor service wear and rubbing below the crown.
A scarce original circa 1940's 'Royal Navy H.M.S. Maidstone silver bar brooch', the naval crowned ships crest inlaid with red and white enamelling and mounted on a slender bar, very typical of the period, the reverse impressed 'Silver'. Very good clean condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel.
Royal Navy HMS Maidstone was a submarine depot ship, built by 'John Brown & Company, Clydebank, Scotland' and launched in 1937. after a long and varied career, she was scrapped in 1978.
A good original early post 1947 vintage 'H.M.S. Seahawk silk ribbon', embroidered with gold bullon thread. Very good condition.
