WVS Darby & Joan Club welsh leek badge

A scarce original pre 1966 'Womens Voluntary Services WVS Darby & Joan Club badge'; silver plate example depicting a green and white 'Welsh Leek' to the centre on red enamel ground. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, enamel perfect.
Diameter 25mm.

The first of the W.V.S Darby & Joan Clubs opened just after the war in 1946 to improve welfare for old people.
